Philosophy

It is the primary purpose of the Christ King Athletic Program to provide an extension of the Catholic educational experience. The Athletic Program is designed to provide enjoyable extra-curricular activities for children and teach the fundamentals of sports. The program strives to develop self-worth, sportsmanship, discipline, sound judgment, and physical well being.

Congratulations to the 8th grade Boys and Girls basketball teams for receiving invitaitions to the 51st annual Padre Serra Basketball Tournament.

On Friday night, the boys run came to an abrupt end, losing to eventual champion, St John the Baptist, 46 - 38. Congratulations to the team on a great season and to Ben Carpenter, who was named to the Padre "all-tournament" team. (Boys Bracket)

The Girls opened tournament play with a convincing win over St Joseph-Grafton, 47 - 13 on Friday night. Unfortunately, the schedule makers threw the team a curve and had them playing their 2nd round game on Saturday morning, less than 24 hours after their opening game. The team faced St Edwards - Racine, one of the top 4 seeds in the tournament. The girls played a solid game but ultimately lost 26 - 23. Congratulations on a great season and an excellent showing at the Padre! (Girls Bracket)
